Samsung's Latest Smartphone, Specs and Features: Is SM-A500 Samsung's First All Metal Handset ? Plus Other Rumored Specs

The rumored Samsung's all metal Galaxy handset SM-A500 release date is yet to be announced but rumors abound regarding its features.

Know Your Mobile posted an unconfirmed report about Samsung's plan to release a full metal Galaxy handset. Meanwhile, SamMobile, has reported that the metal handset is already set to be release once minor adjustments in both hardware and software has been addressed.

SM-A500 Updated Specs 

SamMobile changed its earlier report regarding the specs of this much talked about  Samsung Galaxy handset. According to the report, the SM-A500 will have:

  • a full metal casing
  • a touch interface that is probably similar to the Galaxy Note 4
  • a quad core Snapdragon 400 SoC processor
  • a  2GB of RAM
  • an  internal storage with maximum of 16 GB memory 
  • a microSD card slot that can store up to 128 GB
  • a  dual camera (rear-13 megapixel and front-5 megapixel) 
  • a 5-inch display made of Super AMOLED HD 

The  SM-A500 is reportedly powered by a 2330 mAh battery. The metal handset is also rumored to have a hybrid card slot which will fit both Nano-SIM card and microSD.

Know Your Mobile reported that the first batch of Samsung Galaxy SM-A500 will probably be released in South Korea. Samsung traditionally sell its newest phone models to its home market before selling them in various international markets.

SM-A500 Chinese Models

The same post also said that they have spotted a picture of a Samsung SM-A500 being approved for the Chinese market. Despite this, it could not be confirmed if the rumored SM-A500 has an all metal body. Additionally, the Chinese approved SM-A500 has the Android 4.4.4 Kitkat as its operating system. It can only be speculated that Samsung is planning to release multiple versions of the SM-A500 depending on the type of market.

Unfortunately, Samsung has yet to confirm or deny if any of the rumored SM-A500 specs is true.
