America's Got Talent' Season 9: Two-Day Finale to be Aired This Week; Guests Performers Revealed
NBC's "America's Got Talent" Season 9 episode, which featured the Top 12 performances last week, is set for its finale.
The reality talent show will feature performers who will be moving on for this grand performance. The grand winner of this season will get not only the bragging rights for being America's best talent act. The victor will also receive a $1 million prize and a solo live performance in Las Vegas.
The "Snapple Save" was also introduced as a new rule. This will allow viewers to cast votes on their favorite contenders and to save those who are in the bottom list.
Amongst those who may have this once in a lifetime chance of bagging the title are singer Emily West, singer/guitarist Miguel Dakota, child R&D singer Quintavious Johnson, close-up magician Mat Franco, strings-based band Sons of Serendip, and acrobatic troupe AcroArmy.
According to a press release by NBC, viewers will get exciting performances by internationally-acclaimed singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran, award winning actress/singer Jennifer Hudson, four-time Grammy Award winner and rock icon Lenny Kravitz, and hip-hop sensation Pitbull. The show will also feature the Rockettes and Train.
As reported, Sheeran will debut his new song "Don't;" Jennifer Hudson will croon "It's Your World;" Lenny Kravitz will sing "The Chamber;" and Pitbull will perform "Fireball."
The competition will be shown live on NBC and will feature a two-part finals round .Mel B, Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum will continue to be part of the show as judges.
Viewers will witness the finalists' final performances on September 16 and the announcement of the winners will be aired on Wednesday, September 17 (8-10 p.m. ET) at The AXIS Powered by Monster at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
