London has Fallen Movie Release Date, Reveals, Rumors, Reviews and Plot: Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman and Aaron Eckhart to be Part of the Cast
If you are thinking that the title ironically sounds like Olympus Has Fallen. There is no irony here, This is the sequel people, this is Olympus Has Fallen 2. I know right now you're wondering what exactly happened in Olympus Has Fallen considering it came out at the same time as White House Down. Let me save you a trip to Wikipedia; Olympus Has Fallen was the one with Gerard Butler, the white President and the black Vice President. The movie cost just 70 million dollars to make and brought in 161 million dollars at the box office, which is good but not impressive. I mean, James Cameron would retire if he made that much at the Box Office but okay.
In this installment of what we hope shall not become a series, the team returns to thwart a plot to attack London during the Prime Minister's funeral. A lot of questions immediately come up! Way an American Secret Service officer who is no doubt in retirement buried under medals of valor for saving the president is saving the city of London? If they are coming in just a supportive capacity or America will actually save London? As such, this is a little insulting to the English security forces. What we know is that Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart, Angela Basset and Radha Mitchell are returning.
From what we know of the cast list, secret service agent extraordinaire Mike Banning shall be coming back. Vice President Morgan Freeman is coming back as well alongside President Benjamin Asher who is still somehow in office. Angela Basset is still the head of the secret service and Mike Banning is still married. That is all we know as at now considering the cast but we expect a few British names on the list all things considered. Fredrik Bond has taken over from Antoine Fuqua in the directing department. The movie shall be in theatres on October 2nd 2015.
