Attack on Titan Season 2: Series Creator George Wada Confirms Second Season; Production Started a Month Ago and Projected to be Released by August 2015

Attack on Titan anime series is coming back for a second season, and it is officially confirmed as the series creator, George Wada, said that the season 2 is definitely in the works. The production for season 2 had just started a month ago.

Attack on Titan anime series is based on a manga created by Hajime Isayama. The manga is mainly about a city with gigantic walls that protect the humans from the "Titans". The Titans, on the other hand, are known to attack and eat humans for no apparent reason. The main character of the series is Eren Jaeger. Eren later joins an organization that fights off the Titans, and the anime series revolves around this character and her battles. The anime series has become very popular in a short span of time, and so many fans are waiting for the second season to come up.

While the season 1 of the anime series finished in September last year, the second season is expected to be released by August 2015.

Meanwhile, Attack on Titan: No Regrets, a spin-off of the popular anime series, is about to be released this December. The spin-off will be based on a prequel manga of the same name.

Also, a compilation film of the Attack on Titan will be featured at the Tokyo International Film Festival on October 23 and until the 31st. It will show a total of 13 screening episodes of the anime series. The film will be called the Attack on Titan: Guren no Yumiya.

In other news, the Attack on Titan manga was nominated for the Best American Edition of Foreign Material Category award in July 2014.
