With Sherlock Season 4 confirmed, fans of the detective series can barely hold on to their excitement. Sherlock Season 4, BBC's highly anticipated series which shows only about three episodes per year is tentatively pegged to be released sometime in 2016. Also, it has been reported that there will be a Christmas special episode in 2015 before the Sherlock Season 4 premiere.
Here are some of what we know so far about the upcoming Sherlock Season 4: Based on how the fourth season had ended, there were many plot rumors going around that Sherlock Season 4 episode 1 might deal about Moriarty coming back from the dead. However, the show's writer Steve Moffat, in an interview with IGN, denied the possibility. "He can't come back from that. He shot himself in the face. What more do you want?" said Mofat.
Another plot rumor that has risen for the Sherlock Season 4 release is the idea of a third Holmes, which was derived from Mark Gatiss, creator of the show, saying how fun the show will be if Tom Hiddleston would play as the third brother. Still, it is not definite though Moffat says that they are creating something dark for the series that will shock us when it returns on screen. According to him, the plan was so devastating it brought tears to the cast. Fans really need to watch out for Season 4 air date as you will hate to miss seeing that the show had ventured somewhere it has never been before.
