Ice Age 5 Movie Update: Premieres July 2016, Movie Plot, Cast and Characters of Upcoming Final Chapter
20th Century Fox has officially set the release date of Ice Age 5 to July 15, 2016, and this may be the final chapter of the franchise, as the film is otherwise called Ice Age 5: The Final Chapter.
So far, the general storyline of Ice Age films revolve around the adventures of prehistoric animals living and surviving in the Ice Age.
For the fifth installment, Manny, Sid and Diego realize that, once again, Scrat had caused the accidental end of the world. The movie will continue at the island where the crew was at the end of the previous film. This time, Scrat is on the beach. Sid is practicing his tone deaf lines. Diego gets irritated. Manny couldn't get any sleep. Manny shouts "Quiet!" Then, they hear THE crack; Scrat had wrecked the beach side. The crew realizes who has caused the drift.
As for the casts and characters, the original voice actors of the previous Ice Age films are expected to return in the upcoming fifth installment. The original cast includes Ray Romano (Manny), John Leguizamo (Sid), Denis Leary (Diego) and Chris Wedge (Scrat).
With its growing popularity, Ice Age became the 11th highest-grossing franchise and the second highest-grossing animated franchise worldwide, with each film as the highest-grossing animated film of each release year.
Ice Age 5 premieres July 15, 2016.
