We have some spoilers, cast updates and latest news concerning the Coronation Street show. The bosses of the Coronation Street have signed up the former Bad Girls and Emmerdale star Claire King for a guest stint in the soap.
The new actress in the soap will arrive later in December and she will take the role of Erika. She will arrive on the cobbles as Liz McDonald's (Beverley Callard) old friend. Erika had previously worked as a barmaid for Liz in Spain and she decides to seek her out after coming back to the UK. Erika's arrival brings some happy times to Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) who is a local business man. This is because Erika immediately sees her eyes on him which later lead to a hook up between the two. Claire King spoke of her new role and said, "I am beyond thrilled to be joining the cast of Coronation Street playing the funny and feisty Erika, who looks certain to ruffle a few feathers once her high heels hit those world famous cobbles!" She also continued to say, "A stint on Corrie is one of those ticks on most actor's bucket list of jobs you dream doing, so I can't wait to start filming in a few weeks' time!"
"Erika is a woman who lives life to the full. Nick doesn't stand a chance once she sets her sights on him, but he's not complaining," Coronation Street's producer, Stuart Blackburn said. He went ahead to say, "We are delighted to have Claire on board to play Erika, she is a fabulous actress who will be a great addition to the cast." The show's chiefs have already confirmed to the fans that Erika will be on screen for a few weeks in December then from there she will go back to Spain, just before the end of the year.
