"Scandal" Season 4 Premiere Spoilers: Abby Whelan to be in the spotlight this season!
'Scandal', the political drama-thriller television series, is back on air. And what is the title of their first episode this season four? "Randy, Red, Superfreak and Julia"... Now THAT is an episode title!
Shonda Rhimes, the creator of the show, just tweeted the title. If that doesn't catch your attention I don't know what will.
Anyways, one could only guess who will portray Julia. Guesstimating, "Randy" is Quinn (Katie Lowes), "Red" is Abby (Darby Stanchfield) and "Superfreak" is Huck (Guillermo Diaz). So who will portray the character of Julia? Countless number of fans are speculating that Portia de Rossi will get the role. We should recall that in July 2014, the show announced that de Rossi had been cast in the popular series. De Rossi was even labeled as "top-secret" of the program.
Actors Josh Randall and Mary McCormack will also appear in one episode this season. Playing as couples, fans will see McCormack and Randall this October.
So what's in store for all the 'Scandal' enthusiasts this season?
In a TV Guide interview, Rhimes revealed that Abby Whelan, Olivia's team leader, will get a lot of attention this season. According to Rhimes, "Season 4 is Abby's season. That was by design. A lot of what we know about Abby happens this season. A lot of what we discover about her and see about her back story will happen as we tell Abby's story." We should recall that Abby confessed to David Rosen that she helped cover the election rigging by stealing the voter machine memory card.
And what about Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington)? In her interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Rhimes divulged that Olivia Pope would also spice up the season. Rhimes added in the interview "We're very excited to get back to Olivia-centric storytelling. Also, the "case of the week" format will return. The format wasn't used a lot in season 3 because of Kerry Washington's pregnancy.
So it's time to spread the word. 'Scandal' TV series is back for more intrigues.
'Scandal' is an ABC network presentation and it debuted last April 2012.
