Sinister Six Movie Under Production; Andrew Garfield playing Spiderman Still not Confirmed?
If you are tired of all the superhero movies that are coming up in theatres, then wait no more because the Sinister Six movie is in the works.
Drew Goddard, the writer and director of the Spiderman movie franchise, is set to create a spin-off movie that will feature six of the villains that Spiderman has defeated in the past. The Sinister Six movie plot revolves around six super villains headed by Dr. Octopus who decided to form an alliance because they are tired of getting defeated by Spiderman.
There were Sinister Six movie rumors that Marvel will cancel the movie. But that is not entirely the case as Goddard announced that he had already stepped down from the helm of directing the upcoming Daredevil series to focus more on the Sinister Six movie. It was also mentioned that the scheduled release of Spiderman 3 was moved to 2018 in favor of the November 2016 Sinister Six movie release date.
As for who the villains and the actors that will be part of the Sinister Six movie, it is only Dane DeHaan (Harry Osborn/Green Goblin) who is confirmed to be part of the film. And even Sinister Six's arch nemesis Spiderman is uncertain whether Andrew Garfield, who played Peter Parker/Spiderman in the first two Amazing Spiderman franchise, will be cast for the role. There are speculations that Andrew Garfield has a contract for three Amazing Spiderman movies and that the third one is set to be released in 2018. Hopefully, the people in Marvel Studios will make it work so that Garfield will be part of the Sinister Six movie lineup.
