Talking about designs of the smartphones HTC has always done a good job and this was pretty evident when they made the One even better with the M8. But still, HTC is lagging behind in the smartphone race and one of the reasons is pricing. For the longest time HTC has been launching its devices at a high price point. But now HTC launched some affordable smartphones one among those is HTC one M8.The HTC One E8 is about $160 less expensive and features the same hardware and software as the M8. But is it bold enough to be as desirable and as powerful.
Let us see the Specs of both (HTC One M8 and HTC One E8) affordable smart phones.
HTC OneE8 may be a plastic phone but its display is quite competitive as well. It sports a 5-inch Super LCD 3 capacitive touchscreen rendering a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels with a density of 441 ppi. The screen is also scratch-resistant with light and proximity sensor. The HTC One M8 has a 5-inch panel at 1920×1080, or 441 PPI.
HTC One E8 is Powered by Snapdragon 801 quad-core CPU with 2GB of RAM, the phone has a built-in storage of 16 GB and a microSD slot that can hold up to 128 GB card. The HTC One M8 has the Snapdragon 801 SoC, which has a strong quad-core Krait CPU.
Like HTC One M8, HTC One E8 runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat, alongside the HTC Sense 6 UI, giving mobile users a smooth and fast navigating experience. The Motion Launch shortcut controls is of course present in this smartphone allowing users to answer incoming calls, launch the camera, wake up the phone, and make a quick voice call through simple gestures.
Aside from the gesture controls, there's a wide range of colored themes to personalize your phone; HTC Sense 6 seems to keep up with a more modern look. it also features the BlinkFeed launcher which adds an optional scrolling pane to give you easy access to app content and social media updates via home screen.
Crisp and clear images can be captured with HTC One E8's 13 MP rear-facing camera and 5 MP front-facing camera. It also has a Built-in Touch UP software that automatically enhances skin tone and facial details with display-side countdown timer making it an ideal selfie phone. HTC One M8 on the other hand, carries the HTC Ultrapixel Camera + Duo Camera (4MP), and a 5-MP front camera with BSI sensor and wide-angle lens.
The HTC One E8 and HTC One M8 both has similar 2600 mAh battery that can last 27 hours of talk time (3G) and 21 days of stand-by time. HTC One E8 is reportedly carrying a price tag of approximately $500-$550 depending on the variant. The HTC One M8 originally costs $620-$650, with some exclusive offer on AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint.
