Friends' Twentieth Anniversary Special: A Look Back on the Show's Best Episodes
One of the popular US TV sitcoms, Friends, which ran for ten seasons, celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year. As a matter of fact, the show is so loved that it had even earned the title 'UK's favorite episode' for its last episode that had brought both laughter and tears to millions of fans worldwide. In honor of its twentieth anniversary, a poll had also been initiated in the UK to determine the top favorite episodes out of the 236 that went on air.
Just a brief background, Friends is a comedy show about a group of young adults living in Manhattan, learning more about life together. The group is composed of Monica (Courteney Cox), Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Chandler (Matthew Perry), Ross (David Schwimmer), Joey (Matt LeBlanc) and Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow). They fall in and out of love of each other, venture into new careers, learn new things and have many crazy moments that made our stomachs hurt from laughing.
Here are some of the most popular choices chosen by the show's fans:
First up, we have the episode of Ross getting very stressed over Rachel and Chandler, when instead of helping him get a new sofa up to his apartment, the duo just caused trouble. We also have the episode with Chandler making the list, when he became stupefied finding out that a woman has seven erogenous zones. What we took home from that episode is Rachel's wise words 'If you go to Disneyland, you don't spend the whole day on the Matterhorn.'
Friends' first episode was aired on September 22, 1994 on NBC.
