Covert Affairs Season 5 premiere date, spoilers: Series returns on November 6, plot picks up from where summer finale left off

Covert Affairs Season 5 news: With Covert Affairs Season 5 premiere date set for November 6, the show's executive producers Matt Corman and Chris Ord have shared a couple of spoilers that's bound to get fans looking forward for more.

Despite the big reveal as to who was responsible for the Chicago bombing, fans were left hanging during Covert Affairs Season 5's summer finale.

In an interview, Corman said Covert Affairs Season 5's second half will pick up from where it ended

"More or less, yeah. Shawn Doyle's character, Belenko, talks about Istanbul, and the action picks up there right away, basically," said Corman.

Meanwhile, Ord confirmed that Belenko was indeed aiming for someone when he tried to blow up Arthur's car.

"You were right to pick up on the fact that he was aiming for a target. There'll be plenty of mysteries surrounding what that target is going forward. We'll reveal that in the next six [episodes]."

Annie's resignation remains, but this won't keep her from seeking truth and justice, the producers shared. What's more, her bond with Auggie is stronger than ever.

Ord adds, "That relationship's the bedrock of our show. There's so much between them that is meaningful that's always going to be there, whether they're just simply working together or doing more together."

More intense conspiracies take place in Covert Affairs Season 5 as Auggie discovers a link between his past and Belenko's targets, Calder taps Sydney to go undercover in the Russian Embassy, and Joan harbors a secret that could make or break her.
