'The Mentalist' Season 7 Spoilers: Plus CBS Series Cast, News, Episode Title, Release Date in Spring 2015
CBS Network has renewed The Mentalist for its seventh and final season.
The Mentalist is an American crime procedural television series, which centers on Patrick Jane, a consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) situated in Sacramento, California, then later in FBI.
Patrick Jane is known to use ultra-amazing observation skills that he picked up to solve serious crimes, giving him an outstanding track record of crime investigation. Patrick Jane is in his quest of Red John, the serial assassin who killed his wife and daughter.
Showrunner Bruno Heller told Hollywood Reporter, "The purpose of an encore is to get people leaving the theater happy and giving them what they want and hitting your marks as string as possible, so that will be the intention."
The Mentalist cast includes 2010 Golden Globe Award Nominee Simon Baker as Patrick Jane, 2001 Blockbuster Entertainment Award Nominee and 2006 Boston Film Festival Prize Winner Robin Tunney as Teresa Lisbon, Tim Kang as Kimball Cho, 2014 Black Reel Award Nominee Rockmond Dunbar as Dennis Abbott, and Emily Swallow as Kim Fischer.
Regrettably, cast members Owain Yeoman who played Wayne Rigsby and 2009 Short Fim Award Winner Amanda Righetti as Grave Van Pelt will no longer be seen in the CBS crime procedural drama in Season 7.
It was revealed recently that Actress Emily Shallow will no longers stand in the Season 7as FBI Agent Kim Fischier. The actress confirmed that she has to take on to her other projects. Even so, most of the cast from season 6 remains unchanged in the upcoming season.
Reports say that someone will take her place and eventually leads into a romantic set-up. There have been rumors that rookie agent Michelle Vega will become linked with Kimball Cho.
Another woman enters the life of Patrick Jane, according to other reports. TV Line makes a confirmation that Josie Loren will be part of the series and she will play the character of Michelle Vega, a fervent agent of the FBI who later joins Jane's team. While being able to remain tranquil and unmovable by pressure, Vega is high adept in fighting skills and using weapons.
The first five episode titles of the final season of season 7 have been confirmed by CBS Network. In chronological order from the premiere episode, the five episodes are entitled Nothing But Blue Skies, The Graybar Hotel, Orange Blossom Ice Cream, Black Market, and Silver Briefcase.
The Mentalist was first released on CBS last September 23, 2008. However, there is no official announcement yet when it comes to the exact release date. The highly-anticipated final season of the crime procedural series will debut on Neflix in Spring 2015.
