Blackberry Classic Release Date: New Blackberry Smartphone Soon to be Release! Expected by the End of this Year, News and More Updates are Here
Canadian Smartphone Developer Blackberry Limited announced last June of this year, the development of a new smartphone called the Blackberry Classic. It is also called Blackberry Q20.
According to rumors, the phone is expected to be released this coming November, or perhaps by the end of the year.
According to leaked photos and videos, Blackberry Classic is about 5.11 x 2.83 x .35 inches in dimensions, and looks similar to Blackberry previous model, the Q10.
It will have a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen size display with a resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels (582 PPI pixel density). Blackberry retains the QWERTY keyboard for this upcoming model along with the optical trackpad.
With this design, it's probably aimed at Blackberry fans that are still willing to stick to the company's products, according to sources. The phone contains a microSD slot that can expand up to 64 GB worth of memory, and 2GB of RAM.
It supports GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB connectivity, NFC and 4G LTE. It will run on Blackberry's newly released operating system, the Blackberry 10.3.
Internally, the phone will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 chipset with a Dual Core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. Not much is known about the camera features of the upcoming phone, but it will probably hold a camera at the back and one at the front.
Most of the specifications mentioned above are basing on the leaked images and a video that were circulating online. The images showcase the Blackberry Classic side by side other of Blackberry's devices; BlackBerry Q10, BlackBerry Bold to BlackBerry Porsche Design.
CEO John Chen of Blackberry Limited announced the phone last June and said it will be the first in the "Classic" range. As for now, not much is known about the exact release date of Blackberry's Classic, but some suggest it may come out by the end of the year, hopefully, sooner.
