Dead Island 2 Release Date, Reveals, News, Gameplay, Plot and Updates: More Details Available about Graphics and Gameplay
Apparently, Dead Island 2 is a sideways move for Yager, which is the studio best known for Spec Ops: The Line, the shooter game which was in 2012. That was an interesting game because it asked searching questions about the video game narrative and questioned the lazy attitude of the industry considering violence. You will not find this with Dead Island 2. As you have heard, it is going to focus on a nasty zombie virus outbreak that will take Los Angeles and force the remaining survivors to fend for themselves. Apparently, the graphics and the gameplay are also going to be quite something.
This is reportedly a game where one will be able to strap-on a flamethrower to your handgun so that you can watch the zombies' head burn as you the player continue to shoot them off. As such, the game seems to be quite good. The demo at the EGX 2014 was of a very early build module and it already seemed smarter, funnier and more polished than any of the predecessors. It is also quite brave for Yager because this is an era where most studious pick a genre like Spec Ops or horror and stick to it, but the developer seems to be trying something different and it seems that it is definitely going to be quite a hit.
According to the game's senior programmer Isaac Ashdown, "Dead Island has always been a beautiful game, an opportunity to get away from designing gritty, urban environments. That's why it's fun to have a challenge. You get to discover new ways of doing things." In Dead Island 2, zombies clothing and skin are damaged in real time. If you slash a machete against an enemy's chest, their shirt will tear before your eyes. Yager wants the game to be more engaging as concerns visual feedback.
