NETFLIX New Deal: Get Ready for 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' Sequel - 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend' - on NETFLIX!

It has been more than a decade since the world embraced"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. However, it has recently been announced that it is finally getting the much-deserved sequel. Fans should rejoice, as it would be done through Netflix.

The deal between Netflix and Harvey Weinstein is the first of its kind. This is a big step for Netflix who has been focusing on launching original programs such as "Orange is the New Black." The company is also capitalizing on "binge-watching" trend by uploading an entire season all at once. This is also going to be the first original movie by Netflix.

The first "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" movie was released back in 2000. The movie was nominated for at least 10 Academy Awards and it won four Academy Awards - Best Foreign Language Film, Best Art Direction, Best Original Score, and Best Cinematography.

The cast and crew are already shooting the film in New Zealand, starring Michelle Yeoh. She reprised her role as Yu Shu Lien. Donnie Yen will play the role of Silent Wolf. Director Ang Lee is not going to be back for the sequel. Yuen Wo Ping will direct the sequel. He's the one responsible for the fight scenes in the original Crouching Tiger movie.

The title for the sequel is "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend." It will have the same "love story" theme that the original movie have - a forbidden love, mission chosen over love, and of course, the Green Destiny sword.

Will NetFlix redefine movie watching? How will it affect the film industry in general? Harvey Weinstein said that the movie industry needs to find an innovative way to distribute films. He added, "This is the wave of the future."
