iPhone 6 Latest News, Updates: Verizon Allows VoLTE for iPhone 6
Verizon Wireless has enabled Voice Over LTE, or so called VoLTE, for the iPhone 6. During the revelation, Apple announced the availability of the carriers that sustain it, with Verizon as the first to introduce an Advanced Calling 1.0 feature.
Setting Up
Today, VoLTE has not been enabled to new iPhone 6. But, customers of Verizon Wireless must first visit and verify their Verizon account in the web and set "Advanced Calling 1.0″ in order to activate LTE service. From Settings, all iPhone users can activate the technology, and then allow LTE to pick Voice & Data. The iPhone 6 for T-Mobile and AT&T support VoLTE and the function on the phone is allowed by default, however some carriers cannot enable the function on their phones as of the moment.
Why VoLTE Hype?
It is worth mentioning the definition of VoLTE as it is a new technology roaming around the world. It enables every smartphone owner in order to make better-sounding at the same time clearer calls with faster LTE cellular network. Currently, calls over the CDMA-based carrier go into older wireless networks. Through comparison, the GSM-based carriers T-Mobile and AT&T support calls for both 3G and 4G. Furthermore, VoLTE for iPhone 6 enables the callers to concurrently use the data while calling. This means that currently, the iPhone 6 supports checking e-mail and making a call simultaneously on Verizon. In the past, the functionality is widely available on other carriers, but it does not specifically exist for Verizon. While the current owners for Verizon iPhone 6 can set up VoLTE for new iPhone 6, compatible Android smartphones, or 6 Plus, such services require an LTE connection, but for the standard calls, LTE connection is not needed. It is worth mentioning that if there is no available LTE network, the iPhone 6 defaults to older cellular network.
What is the difference between using VoLTE for iPhone 6 and using it with other device?
Certainly, the iPhone 6 is not bigger-but it is better, more powerful, and remarkably efficient. From its smooth metal surface that flawlessly meets the most advanced Multi-Touch display, this new iPhone generation is better in different angle.
