iOS 8.0.2: Problems Still Exists, Security Flaws Added
Those iPhone users who have upgraded their OS to iOS 8.0.2 were suffering from folds of problems. There were existing bugs such as wrecked Touch ID and new bugs were seen in the software.
iOS 8 came out last Sept. 17, but users who have experienced the OS have quickly complained that they can no longer use the Wi-Fi feature and the batteries were easily drained.
On Sept. 25, the company issued their initial update on iOS 8.0.1, but they had to pull it off after they have heard that a new bugs were preventing the users from making use of the Touch ID to log on to their phone, and it made an adverse effects to its mobile connectivity.
On the second update, iOS 8.0.2 was then delivered in the hope of resolving the said bugs. However, not only those reports suggested that bugs of iOS 8.0.1 still exists, but new ones came out. These includes complexity in entering passwords, problems accessing Safari webpages, dropped calls and being unable to send SMS.
With these, users turned on to social media to address this kind of frustrations.
In the Apple's support forum, users complained problems on the use of camera. They claimed that some pictures were not in order and "messed up." This made some users to conclude that iOS 8.0.2 has made their iPhone useless.
Security flaws
Perhaps more anxiety than the new usual bugs, however, reports regarding iOS contains serious security flaws.
There was a certain video on YouTube that shows a person preventing an iPhone's security protocols by allowing the "hey Siri" function.
While this flaw was taken initially to be legitimate, International Business Times (IBT) and Gizmodo both suggested that it is either the Touch ID acts on "a hair trigger" or it is fake.
The claimed flaw was independently tested on an iPad Mini having a Retina display that runs in iOS 8.0.2, which do not possessed a Touch ID, but it was unable to remake the results though. Apple has not responsed to the requested comment about the reported bugs and security flaws.
