'Bones' Season 10 Recap: After Lance Sweets Death - What's Should Fans Look Forward To in 'Bones'
Fans were devastated with Lance's sudden and shocking death on the premiere episode in the latest season of "Bones." It was an emotional episode for the whole Jeffersonian team. The second episode deals with the team trying to uncover the conspiracy inside the FBI and hopefully, finding who killed Sweets.
But what's next for "Bones" - a series known for "light" and even comedic tone, especially when it comes to Brennan and Booth. Remember the bantering between Booth and Brennan or their little undercover gigs? Although, admittedly, we are all going to miss Sweets, fans can rejoice because according to Stephen Nathan, executive producer, "Bones will still be Bones."
Nathan said, "Bones is not going to turn into a dark show where they are dealing with these demons all of the time. We are going to be back on our traditional Bones footing very quickly."
"Bones" Season 10 Episode 2 ended with the whole team finally saying goodbye to Sweets - a closure that everyone needs. It is an emotional moment but it ended with a lighter note when the whole team sang Sweets favorite song- "Coconut."
Nathan said that the final scene really showed how much influences Sweets has in the lives of others. He added, "So we wanted to send him off in a way that honored his memory and showed how much our characters have changed, grown because of their contact with Sweets."
As for the rest of the season, well of course, a new baby is coming - Lance and Daisy's child. Nathan said that Daisy is not going to be alone in raising the child and he gave his assurance that the baby is going to be well-taken care of.
Also in "Bones" Season 10, a new villain is coming. It is something more evil than you could have imagined. Nathan said, I don't think the world ever exists with simple murders...I think we need something a little more evil. It might be in the second half of the year." Booth is going to have a new partner, Agent James Aubrey and they are going to navigate the complexities of their relationships.
That's it - at least for now on "Bones" Season 10.
