Hood Grammys’ Award Revealed
Hood Grammys' Award Revealed
It is undeniable that Drake has managed to set a whole new boundary not just within the hip hop genre, but in music as a whole. Recently, Drake has named his favorite artists for this year. The rapper decided to give a series of awards on the social media by posting that Grammys require a rap year.
In the series of the photos showing the golden statuettes of Grammy, he gave an award to Bobby Shmurda as the Vocal Performance of the Year. Rich Gang's Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan's Lifestyle, and Rae Sremmurd's No Flex Zone were actually competing for the award called Best Performance By a Duo or Group.
OG Maco got the Best All Around Turn Up award for his U Guessed It. The PartyNextDoor of OVO won the Mixtape of the Year while the Best Latin Club Anthem was awarded to ILoveMakonnen for Tuesday.
When compared to other rappers, Drake is not really a stranger to receive an actual Grammys. He won Best Rap Album award for his Take Care, a 2011 record. He also got his 72nd appearance on the Hot 100 chart of Billboard. The tribute made him as the 8tth on the list of musicians with the best number of hits, which surpass Sir Elton John and The Beatles, who have 68 and 71 respectively.
Currently, Drake is focused on his upcoming album that he revealed this summer. This will be titled Views From the 6, which is thought to refer to native Toronto.
Many people are encouraged to get to know the chosen ones of Hood Grammys' award because they are chosen using exceptional criteria. In fact, it is said that Drake has a better eye for talents compared to tons of bloggers, A&R's and DJ's in the game most especially when it comes to the new Atlanta rappers.
So, do you think that Grammys must add an extra category for hip hop or rap for newbies or just make an entire rap special like what Drake suggested on Instagram? Besides, he has already proved that he can be better than anyone.
