Sony Xperia E3 News, Updates, Features, Specs, Price: A comprehensive Review
The Xperia family has added new members this month where the sensation Z series has two installments Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact. The mid-range Xperia E3 came after the successor Xperia E1. Xperia Z series always targets the high-end market while the E series offers budget phones with smart hardware specification. Let's have a quick review of the Sony Xperia E3.
The Xperia E3 has two models according to cellular service. E3 supports single SIM while E3 dual supports dual SIM facility. The single SIM model comes with two colors black and white while the dual SIM model is available in lime, black or white color. Both the models have same specification and hardware configuration except the dual SIM facility.
The Xperia E3 has moderate hardware specification with Qualcomm MSM8226-2 Snapdragon 400 chipset with Quad-Core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The GPU is also decent with Adreno 305. The hardware strength is pretty good that all types of apps and games run on the device smoothly. As a mid-range, smartphone this device performs very sharply compared to its price.
The Xperia E3 extends its display size than the previous model with 4.5-inch display whereas the Xperia E1 had 4-inch display. The resolution of the Xperia E3 is 480 x854 pixels with 218 pixels per inch. The pixel density has been reduced from 233ppi to 218ppi to make the budget cost effective. Shatterproof glass protection is provided to protect the display glass from unwanted scratch. The internal memory is 4GB and external memory is expandable to 32GB. The RAM slot is provided with 1GB of RAM
The camera department has been upgraded but still a bit clumsy from Sony. The rear-facing camera consists of only 5MP camera sensor and the front facing camera offers very poor VGA sensor. The rear-facing camera can record video of 1080p at 30fps.
The phone runs on operating system android 4.4.2 KitKat. The battery backup is upgraded this time with 2330mAh battery capacity. As a budget phone, Xperia E3 is a smart choice for the customers.
