'Motorola Droid Turbo' Release Date, Specs, Latest News: Also going to be known as 'Moto X Play'
Motorola is hitting the market rack very regularly with new devices. Another name that is going to make its debut is Motorola Droid Turbo. It will be mid-range smartphone and it is also referred as Moto X Play. The new member of the Motorola family has recently passed the FCC in the U.S.
Motorola has managed to send the Droid Turbo phone to the FCC test after arranging several hardware and performance tests by their own engineers. Finally, the Droid Turbo passed the FCC clearance and the expectation regarding this smartphone is also pretty high according to Motorola Corporation. The model number of the phone that passed the FCC test has been leaked and it is XT1254. In fact, this is the same number when the Phone Arena discovered the existence of Droid Turbo.
Not much news or details has been declared by the company but based on the available details it is expected that the phone will support LTE bands 2, 4, 5, and 17. From the FCC test, it is also clear that the Droid Turbo will support GSM and WCDMA bands consisting of 850MHz, 1700 MHz, and 1900MHz frequency. It is clear that Droid Turbo will be a Verizon exclusive phone but Motorola surprisingly contacting AT&T to release the smartphone named as Moto X Play.
The smartphone will have giant 5.5-inch QHD display. Therefore, it will be much more like a phablet than a smartphone. The Motorola Droid Mini will have powerful configuration where the processor will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 backed by 3GB of RAM slot.
The Mini version of the Droid will have straight android version 4.4.4 OS from the box. Report says that the bigger version will probably have the same type of hardware configuration with a different screen size. The display glass will be protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass. The device will be covered fully with Kevlar shell coating.
Motorola will offer attractive packages with the new release where user will get 50 GB cloud storage space facility in Google for two years. The Droid Turbo will probably contain 20MP rear camera sensor while the front camera is supposed to be 2MP.
