Iron Man 4 News and Reveals: Robert Downey Junior to Come Back for 4^th Movie if Mel Gibson were to Direct it

Apparently Robert Downey Junior Revealed during the taping of an episode on the Ellen Degeneres Show that he is currently in the middle of negotiations for the next installment of Iron Man. The actor seems to be still mulling over whether he will actually return to the Marvel blockbuster franchise and he admits the decision would be helped if his old Friend Mel Gibson were to direct the film. At first he had mentioned it jokingly but it appears that he was actually serious. Downey Junior insists that it is time for the Hollywood bigwigs to forgive Mel Gibson concerning the past indiscretions and scandalous headlines that have provided quite a bit of bad press and offer him the chance to prove his mettle as a really good moviemaker.

He claimed in a statement, we are talking about a competitive business and it all comes down to this: because he is so gifted as a storyteller and a director, I don't know that he requires some sort of mass forgiveness. The actor claims that Mel has changed but at the same time he is still Mel. Apparently they are similar in many ways. Downey Junior claims Mel is the first to admit some of his character defects and is a great collaborative guy. Gibson who directed the epic movies, The Passion of the Christ and Braveheart, became the pariah when he gave a few colorful anti-semitic remarks to a Jewish Traffic policeman during an arrest back in 2006.

He was also investigated for domestic violence in 2010 in reference to an incident that took place between him and his ex girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. They have a baby daughter named Lucia. There have been several rumors about Robert Downey not coming back for Iron Man 4, what with the release in 2018 and his age, but it is still far off and my money is on him taking the role, even if it is going to be for the last time.
