It starred Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in the first place and it's not just the actors but also its director that made the show a successful one.
Now, where does True Detective season 2 enter after this? Because let's face it, it's going to be a big challenge for the next season's actors and new director to outshine or balance with the first one.
The bittersweet prospect of the second season would be the fact that there will be a major change to the next season's format. In an interview with a radio program, Pizzolatto also revealed more of what we would see in season 2 such as the all-new three lead characters, the setting that will take place in a much lesser known venues of California and of course, a totally different story from the first one that we truly look forward to.
