Ghostbusters 3 News, Cast, Trailer and Release Date: Ghostbusters 3 to Commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Original Film
Remember those four guys in grey jumpsuits carrying funky gear? It looks like your childhood will be haunting you once again as Paul Feig and Katie Dippold plans to produce a Ghostbusters 3.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Feig shared that he was excited on the
reboot while having Ghostbusters 3 tell an origin story. Fans can expect that the original cast may be coming back to pass the torch to the Ghostbusters 3 cast.
But wait, there's a catch, if you are all excited with the whole Ghostbusters remake, better scrap that idea. As Feig says, he loves origin stories and with that, it's most likely that it will be a whole new film. However, he added that he is not opposed to any of the original cast making a comeback.
On the brighter side of things, Sony is planning to do an all-female Ghostbusters film - a stand-alone all-female comedian Ghostbusters film. However in terms of the final cast, there has yet to be any news so far. However, Murray expressed that he would love to see Emma Stone, Linda Cardellini, McCarthy and Kirsten Wiig as part of the cast.
The last Ghostbuster film premiered over 30 years ago and was directed and produced by Ivan Reitman while the script was written by Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd.
The Ghostbuster 3 movie is projected to begin filming next year, however a
Ghostbusters 3 release date has yet to be announced.
