'Battlefield 4' Premium Edition Release Date: Set To Release later This Month; 5 DLC Pack Included - No Premium Access for Xbox 360 Users

Are you one of the thousands of other gamers who have long been waiting for news about the "Battlefield 4 Premium Edition" release date? If such is the case, then you, together with all of the other fans of the title, will be happy to know that EA Games has finally revealed information on when the scheduled launching will be. According to several news reports, the confirmed release date is later this month.

According to IGN, the new edition of "Battlefield 4" will be made available to gamers by the 21^st of October. This means that fans of the game just need to wait for one more week before they can get their hands on the premium version of the game. The best part is; it comes not only with the original game; all of the five DLC packs are also included in the package. For those wondering or have forgotten what these DLC packs are, they are titled "China Rising," Second Assault," "Naval Strike," "Dragon's Teeth," and "Final Stand." The fifth one has not been released yet, so those who will be purchasing the premium edition will be able to check it out earlier than the others.

IGN has also reported that "Final Stand" will provide gamers with an extensive set of new maps - twenty to be more specific. New weapons will also be part of the upcoming DLC pack, as well as a variety of options for the customization of items, including camos, dogtags, and emblems. In addition, those who will be signing up for premium membership will also be granted access to the game's 12 battlepacks. These come with in-game content, and, as IGN cited, "priority position" for servers that tend to get a lot of traffic.

United Kingdom gamers though who are waiting for the "Battlefield 4 Premium Edition" would have to wait for a little longer, as the package will be made available a few days later. The new edition of the title will be released in the U.K. market on the 24^th of October, as VG247 reported.

An unfortunate piece of news for Xbox 360 players though: according to Game Spot, the "Battlefield 4 Premium Edition" will not be available on this gaming console.
