'Transformers 5' News: Paramount Pledged Swishing Changes for the Fifth Installment of the Transformer Franchise
"Transformers 4: Age of Extinction" became a box-office hit and made earnings of around $240 million in the United States, plus $1.3 billion globally. However, this does mean that the director of Transformers, Michael Bay, will still be piloting the next installment.
A report in Cinemablend reveals that Paramount has pledged changes in the Transformer franchise when the fifth installment debuts in theaters and cinemas.
Meanwhile, there have been rumors saying that director Michael Bay is leaving one of his hit movies - Transformers.
In his interview with USA Today, the director shared his thoughts. "There's a kind of a new chapter, a new direction in movies I want to make," he said. "I have a lot of stories to tell. And it's about flexing new muscles," the director added.
The director also released a statement in Air Herald, indicating that he is ready to move on to other projects. "I will pass the baton for future 'Transformers' movies while I can focus somewhere else," he said. "There's a lot that's unexplored, but that's for the next director to figure out," he added.
Mark Whalberg, the lead actor in "Transformers: Age of Extinction", also talked about his thoughts in Cinemablend. Wahlberg did not see the movie as a sequel. According to the actor, he "thought of it more as a stand-along thing. I've never done a sequel." The is no confirmation yet if the actor keeps going with "Transformers 5".
In the absence of Director Bay, the producers will be forced to find another director who can blend the same fast-paced, heart-pounding, and explosive cinematography. The question is will Michael Bay change his mind and pilot "Transformers" fifth film?
Meanwhile, there is no official announcement yet regarding the director, the characters, and the plot for the fifth installment of the franchise. However, Paramount has confirmed that the project will completely move forward.
Watch out for the return of the cinematic battle between the Autobots, the Decepticons, and humans. The fifth installment of the hit franchise "Transformers" is bound to debut in cinemas in 2016.
