Foxcatcher movie Release Date and News: Critically Acclaimed Film Could Bag Miller, Carell, Ruffalo and Tatum Major Awards
Foxcatcher movie won the Best Director award in the 2014 Cannes Film Festival for Bennett Miller. The movie itself competed in the Palme d'Or in the main competition section at Cannes.
Foxcathcer cast includes Channing Tatum, Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo.
The movie is a psychological thriller where the Foxcatcher plot is about the murder of Olympic Champion Dave Schultz. Schultz, who is played by Ruffalo, is killed by Carell's character, the real-life multi-millionaire John DuPont. Tatum is a wrestler who is Schultz's brother and is also a protégé of DuPont.
Carell, had major transformations in the movie. He is not the usual comedic guy that we know him for. Critics praised his acting, that he is a contender to grab an Oscar by next year's awards season. Tatum and Ruffalo is close on heels.
A new Foxcatcher trailer has been uploaded by the studio.
Rotten Tomatoes described in their site: "A chilling true crime drama, Foxcatcher offers Steve Carell, Mark Ruffalo and Channing Tatum a chance to shine - and all three rise to the challenge".
Variety praised the film, writing: "Steve Carell, Mark Ruffalo and Channing Tatum give superb performances in Bennett Miller's powerfully disturbing true-crime saga."
The critically acclaimed movie, Foxcatcher is set for release on November 14, 2014 in the US and January 9, 2015 in the UK.
