'The Flash' Movie Release Date 2018 Cast Confirms Ezra Miller to Star
The upcoming movie The Flash has officially cast their main man. Ezra Miller, who is best known for his roles in We Need To Talk About Kevin and The Perks of Being A Wallflower, will star in the leading role.
There is no writer or director officially attached to the film yet, which is scheduled to hit theaters sometime in 2018 from Warner Bros. The film will center on "Barry Allen, a scientist who awakes from a coma and is gifted with the power of super speed."
Barry is expected to make an appearance in the upcoming pic Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, which hits theaters March 25, 2016.
The upcoming movie is not affiliated with the CW series, "The Flash".
"The Flash" series premiered on the CW Tuesday night (Oct 7) and the ratings were a huge success. The series debuted to 4.5 million total viewers and a 1.8 demo rating, marking the network's most watched and highest rated series launch since "The Vampire Diaries" back in 2009.
The news came during a major investors event Wednesday (Oct 15). Included in the announcement was that Suicide Squad will follow Batman v Superman in 2016. 2017 will see Wonder Woman and Justice League. A Aquaman solo film starring Jason Momoa is also in the works. Then in 2019, they'll release Shazam (with The Rock as Black Adam) and a sequel to Justice League. Also a Green Lantern reboot, Cyborg solo film and new Batman and Superman movies.
