Mandisa Gets the Remix Treatment with "Get Up: The Remixes"
Following in the footsteps of Amy Grant who has a remixed album set to be released in August, Mandisa is also releasing her own with "Get Up: The Remixes." The Sparrow Records release will drop on Sptember 16, 2014. It will feature some of Mandisa's biggest songs set to new beats and new arrangments by some of the best DJs and producers. "Get Up: The Remixes" will feature some Mandisa's biggest hits including the #1s "Stronger" and "Overcomer," plus her top 10 hits such as "Waiting for Tomorrow," "My Deliverer" and "Only the World."
Mandisa began her career in the fifth season of American Idol, in which she finished in ninth place. However, her Gospel roots and her love for Jesus Christ was quickly picked by Sparrow Records. This led to the release of her #1 debut album "True Beauty." Yet, her biggest success was in the releasing of her latest record "Overcomer" last year. The album sold over 140,000 copies and won a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album. The hit song "Overcomer" spent 12 weeks at #1 on Christian radio wjile its accompanying video has over 2.7 million views and premiered on Good Morning AmericaMandisa has over 1 million career album sales. She is also the fifth American Idol alumnus to win a Grammy Award when her album Overcomer won the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album in 2014
