New Movie "GOD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH" Coming to Theaters Beginning Nov. 5th and 6th

Iconic Events Releasing, Edify Films, and Thinking Man Films announced today the theatrical debut of GOD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH, a feature-length documentary offering compelling evidence as to what the Star of Bethlehem really was, as well as additional proof for the date and circumstance of Christ's crucifixion.

For years, scholars have debated whether the celestial event known as the "Star of Bethlehem" actually happened.  Many have wondered if the phenomenon was a comet, a supernova, or even a meteorite. Now evidence has been discovered that can reveal this biblical sign as something far more miraculous that was put into motion since the creation of the universe. 

"I'm not a preacher, I'm a lawyer. By training and by nature I'm going to hunt incisive evidence," explains Writer and Producer, Rick Larson. "After years of that hunt, with my team's actual blood and sweat, we're there. Of course, this thrills me. But it's even more fun for audiences to see surprising, spot-on, scientific evidence that the gospel record is accurate." 

Shot on location in Israel and the Dead Sea, the film shows that the geologic record agrees with the biblical narrative establishing both a birth and crucifixion date.  In an astounding conclusion, the film presents evidence from a completely different scientific discipline to show that an earthquake occurred in Jerusalem upon the date presented for Christ's death, supporting Matthew's biblical account, that when Christ died, an earthquake followed that was so powerful it terrified a nearby Centurion who declared his famous words, "Surely, this was the Son of God."   

Coming to movie theaters nationwide for a special, two-day-only theatrical event on Sunday, November 5th and Monday, November 6, 2023, these unique theatrical events will also include an introduction by Elliott Wallach, President of Edify Films and Producer of GOD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH, as well as filmmaker Rick Larson about his multi-decade journey and the challenges and miracles he experienced while working to create this film.
