Chris Ekiss Reveals New EP is Inspired by Reflection, Growth, and Change

Singer/songwriter and talented storyteller Chris Ekiss has released his debut EP Ain't That Like Jesus, his first EP after announcing his signing to Provident Entertainment/Sony Music and Essential Music Publishing. The EP is available on all digital platforms and features six total tracks, including the previously released "Save My Soul," "Christ For Everyone," and "Nothing To Me." Listen to the EP HERE.
"This project was inspired by reflection, growth, and change," shares Chris Ekiss. "Through the confidence and energy of everyone around me, these 6 songs portray mere glimpses of the kindness and mercy of Jesus in all of our lives. Thank you, to every single person that did the work (from conception to completion and all the prayers in between) to create this EP. These are OUR stories, y'all."
Chris had the opportunity to collaborate with some of his best friends and mentors in the creation of this debut offering, including major producer/writers Hank Bentley, Colton Price, Jonathan Smith, and Jacob Sooter. He is also joined by GRAMMY® nominated singer, songwriter, and producer David Leonard on the title track. Chris shares, "From being a fan to now a friend of David Leonard, it's crazy that we get to sing a song together! I'm grateful that his story and mine crossed paths so that we can both say "Ain't that like Jesus."Chris has also released a lyric video for the title track, which can be viewed below.
In between writing and releasing music that encourages others and lifts up the name of Jesus, Ekiss is also a worship leader at The Orchard Church in Tupelo, Mississippi. Staying true to his passion for leading worship, Chris partnered with his Essential Worship team to release two-song sessions for EP tracks "Christ For Everyone" and "Nothing To Me." Earlier this year, Chris also released a music video for the lead single "Save My Soul," co-written by Ekiss with Colton Price and Jeremy Johnson, viewable HERE.
Chris will also be embarking on his very first tour alongside friends Stephen Stanley and Alexander Pappas this summer. Chris will play ten Community Worship Nights shows beginning July 31. Tickets are available now at chrisekiss.com.
