Smalltown Poets Return with New Album “St. Augustine”, Out Oct. 24

After several years away from the studio, acclaimed Christian pop-rock band Smalltown Poets returns with their long-awaited new album, St. Augustine, set for release on October 24, 2025. The project marks a powerful new chapter for the Grammy-nominated group, blending thoughtful lyricism, melodic craftsmanship, and the deep spiritual resonance that has defined their music since the late 1990s.
Formed in Georgia in 1996, Smalltown Poets quickly became one of the most respected names in Christian alternative rock, earning multiple Dove Award nominations and a devoted fanbase through hits like "Prophet, Priest & King," "Anything Genuine," and "If You Let Me Love You." With St. Augustine, the band reflects on themes of faith, time, and renewal - capturing both the beauty of persistence and the hope found in rediscovering one's roots. The album's title pays tribute not only to the historic city of St. Augustine, Florida, where the band has frequently performed, but also to the deeper spiritual echoes of legacy, pilgrimage, and grace that run throughout the record.
The ten-track collection features new songs that balance rich storytelling with poetic honesty, including "City of Sundown," "Legacy of Grace," "Where the River Runs," and the stirring closer "St. Augustine (Final Psalm)." Produced with the warmth and authenticity that long-time listeners have come to cherish, the album showcases the band's signature blend of lush harmonies, guitars, and heartfelt songwriting.
"Over the years, we've seen seasons of silence and rediscovery," the band shared in a statement. "St. Augustine is about finding beauty in that journey - remembering where we came from and what truly matters. It's a record for anyone learning to trust the path again."
To celebrate the release, Smalltown Poets have also opened their full digital catalog - over 100 songs spanning their career - at a special discounted rate for a limited time, inviting both long-time fans and new listeners to explore their legacy.
Pre-saves and pre-orders for St. Augustine are now available on all major platforms:
Apple Music | Spotify | Amazon Music.
The album releases worldwide on October 24, 2025, through Friendly City Records.
