God's Chosen Bridges the Gap between Contemporary Christian music and Gospel music with New Album

God's Chosen is set to bridge the gap between contemporary Christian music and Gospel music with their upcoming self-titled album. Releasing on June 22, this will be the trio's first partnership with G. Favored Entertainment Group / DREAM Gospel.
"Our self-titled album successfully intertwines the impassioned worship of Christian Contemporary music with the grit of Gospel music. Influenced by artists like Kari Jobe, Hillsong United, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Lauren Daigle, Jenn Johnson, Israel Houghton, and Travis Greene, this album is filled with worship anthems and singable praise songs catering to both churches and individuals. We hope to bridge the gap between genres and provide a worship experience that truly reflects the fullness of God's Kingdom."
God's Chosen began their vocal training at each of their individual churches in St. Louis, Missouri. However, it was not until Zebrina Anderson, Nikeisha Whittier, and Sarah Benibo met in high school that their years of training proved to serve a greater purpose. In 2002, at the urging of their choir teacher, they competed in the Annual Six Flags Gospel Day Competition and were recognized for the first time as God's Chosen, later adopting the moniker "GC3."
After winning the Six Flags competition, GC3 embraced their gifting and began to minister at youth services and conferences all over the city. Although away at different colleges, GC3 released their debut album "Love Ever After" in 2006. Included on this album is an arrangement of popular love songs, known as the "Love Medley," which earned them national acclaim.
In 2013, GC3 released their sophomore album, "1&6," showcasing the breadth of their artistry with soulful gospel tunes, like "Never Forget It," and guitar-laced worship, like "Whatever It Takes." "1&6," inspired by Philippians 1:6, solidified their identity as singers, songwriters, and instrumentalists. They were named as one of the "2014 Artists to Watch" by Essence.com and featured in Jet Magazine (April 2014). Their powerful worship song "You Reign," was featured on "Earnest Pugh Presents: Gospel Rising Star" compilation album and their contemporary blood song "Redeemed" was featured on "Gerald Da Truth Jones Presents Independent Spirit, Vol 1." GC3 had officially secured their spot in the gospel music industry.
By 2015, GC3 had independently sold thousands of units and their music could be heard all over the country. Added to gospel stations in both urban and traditional formats, radio announcers had nothing but rave reviews. "The second I heard the first note I was hooked. God's Chosen has something for the world," says Carl Behanan of Inspiration 1050 AM WGRI. After receiving such an overwhelming response from listeners of various backgrounds, it was made abundantly clear that GC3's ministry transcends denominational, generational, and cultural bounds.
In 2016, under the management of C-Note Entertainment, GC3 signed with G. Favored Entertainment in partnership with Dream Label Group and distribution through Capitol Christian. Now with all the right pieces in place, GC3 is poised to release their third album the summer of 2018. This self-titled album successfully intertwines the impassioned worship of Christian Contemporary music with the grit of Gospel music. Influenced by artists like Hillsong United, Kari Jobe, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Jenn Johnson, Israel Houghton, Lauren Daigle, and Travis Greene, "God's Chosen" is filled with worship anthems and singable praise songs catering to both churches and individuals. GC3 hopes to bridge the gap between genres and provide a worship experience that truly reflects the fullness of God's Kingdom.
