Brooke Ligertwood Explains the Meaning Behind Her New Song "Calvary's Enough"

Platinum recording artist & GRAMMY®-award winning songwriter, producer and worship leader Brooke Ligertwood announces the release of her third single "Calvary's Enough" from her highly anticipated sophomore solo album "EIGHT." "Calvary's Enough" follows on the heels of recently released singles "Desert Song" and "Fear of God."
Ligertwood writes, "The first verse of `Calvary's Enough' details my resolve --- a line thin but holding amidst the tumult... but the second verse contrasts mine with His --- He resolved to absorb all of it, and when my eyes are lifted from the tumult of circumstance to the triumph of the cross, the thin line thickens to become a path I can find my feet on."
I resolve to know
Nothing but You crucified
Somehow in this room right now
It is enough
The weight of the world
Too much for the souls of men
But somehow You hold it all
Upon the cross
Calvary's enough
Calvary's enough
When I know nothing
When I know too much
What I choose to know right now is
Calvary's enough
You resolved to die
Scarlet flowing from Your hands and side
Covenant is sealed and ratified
You knew the cost
As the darkness fell
And the temple curtain tore
The death I deserved You made yours
Upon the cross
Calvary's enough
Calvary's enough
God, I know nothing
But I know this much
Your blood has spoken
It shouts from the cross
The world is broken but all is not lost
Because of Jesus and all You have done
On Calvary
It's more than enough
God, I know nothing
But I know this much
Oh Calvary is always enough
Along with the aforementioned releases, Ligertwood has penned a growing anthology of beloved church anthems like "What A Beautiful Name," "King of Kings," and "Hosanna," and devotional favorites like "Awake My Soul," "New Wine," "None But Jesus," and many more. With 7 billion career streams and 20 million career album sales, her songs have been streamed globally more than 1.5 billion times, translated into over 15 languages, and have topped the CCLI chart with two no. 1's, and several Top 25's.
