James Fortune Returns with High-Energy EP IN THE ROOM: Preluxe After Three-Year Hiatus

After a three-year break from new music, GRAMMY®-nominated, Stellar and Dove Award-winning artist James Fortune triumphantly returns with the release of IN THE ROOM: Preluxe - a dynamic new EP capturing the first wave of unforgettable praise and worship moments from his 20th Anniversary live recording.

Recorded in 2024, Fortune's historic 25-song live set celebrated his two-decade journey since the release of his 2004 debut, You Survived. The new six-track EP offers fans an early taste of that legacy, highlighting the passion, power, and presence that Fortune has become known for throughout his career.

The project opens with the explosive lead single and title track, "In the Room" - a declaration of God's presence and power. Written by Fortune alongside Bravis Cave, Carvena Jones, and David "DLo" Outing (who also produced the song), the single exudes joy, favor, and freedom.

"I wanted to introduce something new that captured where I am right now," Fortune shares. "In The Room was born out of a session that shifted from just making music to creating a moment. It's meant to feel like stepping into an atmosphere where change happens instantly."

The EP is out now via FIYAWORLD and Blacksmoke Music Worldwide on all digital music platforms. It also serves as the first preview of Fortune's forthcoming 25-track live anthology album, due in 2026. Fans can also experience the single visually with the newly released official lyric video for "In the Room".
